Ottobock’s Professional and Clinical Services department has the largest and most experienced staff in the industry. Whether you’re a practitioner, a technician, or someone who uses our products, we’re here to provide the best possible information, accessibility and support.

Michael Pearce, C.P. (c)

Originally from the United Kingdom, Michael gained his certification in Prosthetics in 1994 after spending four years in a craft apprenticeship program in limb manufacture and repair at J.E. Hanger Co. Ltd in  Roehampton, London, England. After four years of clinical experience, Michael moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1998 to complete his prosthetic internship. He then moved to London, Ontario where he  continued to practice clinically for four more years, before joining Ottobock in the summer of 2005.


Gary Sjonnesen B.Sc. C.P. (c)

Clinical Specialist, Lower Limb 905 466 5278

Gary holds an Honours Kinesiology degree from the University of Waterloo, and is a graduate from the Clinical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics program at George Brown College in Toronto. He practiced as a Clinical Prosthetist at West Park Hospital in Toronto for eight years, and then joined Chedoke McMaster Hospital in Hamilton where he served as Senior Prosthetist for ten years. Gary’s strengths as a clinician are matched by his dedication to the field, having served as President of the Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists, as well as President of the Ontario Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists.


Stephane Daviault, C.P. (c)

Clinical Specialist, Upper Limb 416 997 2191

Stephane Daviault C.P.(c) graduated from College Montmorency. He worked at l’Institut de Réadaptation de Montréal for eight years before moving to Sherbrooke in 1998. There, Stephane continued his clinical practice at the Centre de Réadaptation Estrie for almost 17 years. Stephane has been involved with CBCPO as a Board member as well as an examiner for several years. He also taught prosthetics at College Merici, in Quebec City. He joined Ottobock in February of 2015.


Caroline Sylvestre, C.P. (c)

Supervisor, Custom Silicone Clinical Specialist 905 510 4691

Caroline is the Custom Silicone Specialist at Ottobock Canada. She graduated from College Mérici in 2007 from the Prosthetics and Orthotics program in Quebec. Caroline worked as a technician in the custom silicone lab before joining the Clinical Services team in 2011, where she works directly with clients and their clinicians to help find custom silicone solutions to best fit their needs. Caroline also travels around Canada and the U.S. supporting the Custom Silicone team and product line.

Luke Roczniak

Luke graduated with a degree in Human Kinetics, from the University of British Columbia in 2014.  Shortly after he graduated, Luke began working for Ottobock as a technician in the Custom Fabrication Lab, and also spent time working as a Clinical Assistant in the Prosthetics and Orthotics department for Hamilton Health Sciences. Luke took on a new role with Ottobock, as a Custom Silicone Clinical Specialist in 2017, where he aids customers in all aspects of the custom silicone fabrication process including assessment, casting, colour determination and fitting of the custom devices.  Luke also travels around North America, providing clinicians with both education and support in providing their clients with the best possible outcome.

Cindy Doucet

Cindy is Sales and Education Lead for Ottobock Canada, with a background in financial and event planning. She began her career in 2001 as an executive assistant for a private medical supply company, before joining Ottobock in the spring of 2009 as both the clinical services and after-sales service coordinator. In May of 2017 Cindy transitioned into a new role, supporting the sales teams, for all business units, in addition to the clinical staff in Canada. She is a detail-oriented professional with strengths in creation, planning and execution of events as well as streamlining processes for high efficiency. She provides support to the entire clinical staff, and ensures that events run smoothly for both attendees and staff.
